LA Clippers owner Steve Ballmer reached an agreement to purchase The Forum from Madison Square Garden Co. on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 for $400 million in cash through a new entity, CAPPS LLC. The deal, which is expected to close in the second quarter of 2020, should pave the way for the Clippers new arena project. The team announced plans last year for a privately funded 18,500-seat arena, team complex and community center that will be adjacent to sit to SoFi Stadium on West Century Blvd. between South Prairie Avenue and South Yukon Avenue.
