  • General overall view of the proposed site of LA Clippers arena, Sunday, June 28, 2020, in Inglewood, Calif. The 26-acre complex at the southeast corner of Prairie Avenue and West Century Boulevard would sit across the street from SoFi Stadium that will be the home of the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers of the NFL beginning in 2020. The Inglewood Basketball & Entertainment Center is designed to include an 18,500-seat arena, a full-time corporate Clippers headquarters building, the team training facility, a sports medicine clinic, community courts, park spaces, educational facilities, restaurants and shops. The 900,000 square-foot arena's exterior would include solar panels and is designed to symbolize the diamond shapes in a basketball net. Clippers owner Steve Ballmer reached an agreement to purchase The Forum from Madison Square Garden Co. on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 for $400 million in cash through a new entity, CAPPS LLC. The deal, which is expected to close in the second quarter of 2020, should pave the way for the Clippers new arena project.
