Schembechler, who coached at Michigan from 1969-89, died of a heart attack at age 77 on Nov. 17, 2006. Ford aka Gerald R. Ford wore No. 48 playing football at Michigan where he was a member of the Wolverines' 1932 National xhampionship team and was named the team;s most valuable player in 1933, died at age 93 on Dec. 26, 2006.
