Track and Field: East Los Angeles College

General overall view of Weingart Stadium (formerly ELAC Stadium) on the campus of East Los Angeles College, Friday, June 12, 2020, in Monterey Park, Calif. It was built in 1951 at a cost of $3.1 million, and following renovations in 1984 it was renamed after philanthropist Ben Weingart. The stadium played host to all 1984 Olympic field hockey matches. The 22,355-capacity multi-purpose facility is the site of the annual East Los Angeles Classic high school football game between Garfield and Roosevelt.
