2008 USA Olympic Team Trials - Day 8 »Jenn Stuczynski set an American record of 16-1 3/4 to win the women's pole vault after coming down to the final attempt on her opening height on July 6, 2008. Lolo Jones won the women's 100-meter hurdles in a wind-aided 12.29 to equal the fastest time by an American under any conditions. Walter Dix and Shawn Crawford finished first and second in the 200, both timed in 19.86.
2008 USA Olympic Team Trials - Day 7 »Tyson Gay's bid for a 100- and 200-meter double ended after pulling up with a severe cramp in his left hamstring in a 200-meter quarterfinal on July 5, 2008. In the women's throws, Jessica Cosby set a meet record to win the hammer at 232-0 and Michelle Carter, daughter of Michael Carter, won the shot put at 61-10 1/2. Jesse Williams won the high jump at 7-6 1/2.
2008 USA Olympic Team Trials - Day 6 »Kara Goucher won the women's 5,000 meters in 15:01.02 for her first national titel after placing second in the 10,000 meters on the first day. Abdi Abdirahman beat Galen Rupp to win the 10,000 meters, 27.41.89 to 27:43.11. A.G. Kruger won the hammer throw at 248-9. Chaunte Howard won the women's high jump at 6-5 1/2 after a year off because of maternity.
2008 USA Olympic Team Trials - Day 5 »LaShawn Merritt upset reigning World and Olympic champion Jereemy Wariner to win the 400 meters, 44.00 to 44.20, and Anna Willard won the women's steeplechase in an American record 9:27.59 to highlight the competition on July 3, 2008. Sanya Richards won the women's 400m in 49.89 and Brittany Reese won the long jump on her final attempt at 22-9 3/4.

2008 USA Olympic Team Trials - Day 4 »Bryan Clay won the decathlon with a meet-record 8,832 points for the highest total by an American in 16 years to move into second on the all-time U.S. list behind Dan O'Brien. Nick Symmonds of the Oregon Track Club won the 800 in 1:44.10 to lead an Oregon sweep with UO sophomore Andrew Wheating (1:45.03) and OTC teammate Christian Smith (1:45.47).
2008 USA Olympic Team Trials - Day 3 »Tyson Gay won the 100 meters in a wind-aided 9.68 for the fastest time ever under any conditions on the third day of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials on June 29, 2008. Walter Dix was second in 9.80 and Darvis Patton was third in 9.84. Gay's mark, assisted by a 4.1 meter-per-second wind, surpassed Obadele Thompason's wind-aided mark of 9.69 run in 1996.
2008 USA Olympic Team Trials - Day 2 »Tyson Gay set an American record of 9.77 in the 100 meters in the quarterfinals on the second day of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials on June 28, 2008. Gay, who moved into third on the all-time performer list, eclipsed the previous record of 9.79 set by Maurice Greene in 1999 and the Trials record of 9.91 set by Greene in 2004.

Marshevet Hooker ran a wind-aided 10.76 in the women's 100 quarterfinals -the No. 5 performer under any conditions.
