The Sun Devil edged Florida State, 44-41, with a third-place finish in the 4 x 400 relay. The ASU women defeated LSU, 51-43.

»Bianca Knight of Texas and Ryan Whiting of Arizona State set collegiate records in the women's 200 meters and shot put, respectively. Knight clocked 22.40 in the women's 200 to move into second on the all-time U.S. list and No. 8 all-time. Whiting won the shot put with a heave of 71-3 1/2.
